Abstract:
Disclosed are a workpiece end section detection mechanism that can clearly survey a workpiece end section with an alignment camera, without the addition of an illumination device, and a workpiece conveyance mechanism that uses said workpiece end section detection mechanism. The workpiece end section detection mechanism is configured from a cylindrical barrel member having an opening at one end and a blocking member on the other end, and is configured so that a light reflection means for reflecting light that enters from the opening is provided on the bottom surface of the blocking member and the internal diameter (φ2) on the blocking member side is larger than the internal diameter (φ1) on the opening side. An air suction opening is formed inside the barrel member; and a vacuum suction head is disposed in the upper section of the barrel member. As a result, workpiece end section detection is facilitated, and it is possible to convey workpieces using vacuum suction.
