Abstract:
A workpiece transfer device (10) is provided with: a robot (11) including a robot arm (19); and a balancer (30) that is provided in parallel to the robot (11). The balancer (30) has: a balancer (30) base; a horizontal articulated balancer arm (35) that is of parallel link type; a workpiece mounting mechanism (46) supported by an upper end section of the balancer arm (35); and a connecting member (52) connected to the workpiece mounting mechanism (46). When the connecting member (52) and a leading end section of the robot arm (19) are connected to each other, the leading end section of the robot arm (19) and the upper end section of the balancer arm (35) are connected to each other, and the balancer arm (35) is positioned below the robot arm (19).
