Abstract:
The present invention has the purpose of providing a workpiece transfer method and a workpiece transfer system capable of stably transferring a workpiece with a simple configuration. A workpiece transfer system (100) comprises: two workpiece holding members (110), (115) which hold a workpiece so that same can be freely pulled and inserted in the vertical direction; a picking device (120) which comprises a claw member (128) capable of carrying out an opening/closing operation; and a workpiece holding member (150) for temporary placement. The workpiece transfer method uses the picking device (120) to grasp the workpiece held by the one workpiece holding member (110), transfers the workpiece to the workpiece holding member (150) for temporary placement, changes the grasping position of the workpiece to a position in which same can be held in a stable posture, and transfers the workpiece from the workpiece holding member (150) for temporary placement to the other workpiece holding member (115).
