Abstract:
Provided is a method for transporting a workpiece when bending the workpiece by a press brake which comprises a die that supports the workpiece and a punch that is disposed above the die and that presses the workpiece supported by the die, wherein, before or after bending, the workpiece is intermittently transported in the direction of transport of the workpiece in such a manner that: an upstream side transport device which is disposed on the upstream side of the press brake in the direction of transport is moved in the direction of transport while an end part of the workpiece which is located on the upstream side in the direction of transport is pressed by the upstream side transport device; and the workpiece is supported from below by a support base which is disposed on the downstream side in the direction of transport such that the support base fits with the shape of the workpiece after pressing by the punch.
