Abstract:

The present invention provides a lighter structure for a worm wheel that is formed by combining a metal part and a synthetic resin part. A worm wheel (4a) is formed by combining an inside wheel element (15a) and an outside wheel element (16a). The inside wheel element (15a) comprises a metal core (24) that is formed in an annular shape from a metal, and a resin core (25) that is formed in an annular shape from a synthetic resin and has an outer circumferential section of the metal core (24) embedded therein. The outer wheel element (16a) is formed in an annular shape from a synthetic resin, has a worm wheel tooth section (19a) on an outer circumferential surface thereof, and has an outer circumferential section of the resin core (25) embedded therein.
