Title:
WOUND DRESSING FOR USE IN NEGATIVE-PRESSURE WOUND THERAPY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/034373
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The invention relates to a wound dressing (50) for use in negative-pressure wound therapy. Said wound dressing can be properly placed in a wound space below a negative-pressure dressing (6) which seals the wound space in a substantially vacuum-tight manner against the atmosphere. The wound space can communicate with a suction line (10), to which negative pressure can be applied, via an opening (20) in the negative-pressure dressing (6). The wound dressing (50) comprises a resilient foam material and has a through-hole (54) which extends in the direction of the depth of the wound and which is used to introduce or guide a terminal section (44) of a fluid duct (40) into or through the wound dressing (50), said terminal section (44) facing the wound. A sleeve (56), into which the terminal section (44) can be inserted, is arranged in the through-hole (54).
