Abstract:
A wrist of a robot arm is provided with: a proximal end side connecting body; a first wrist link which rotates about a first wrist axis; a second wrist link which rotates about a second wrist axis; a distal end side connecting body which rotates about a third wrist axis and is connected to an end effector; and a wrist drive device including a drive source and an interlock device. When the first wrist link is rotated through an arbitrarily defined α° from a state in which the first wrist axis and the third wrist axis are overlapping, the interlock device causes the second wrist link to rotate through -2α° and causes the distal end side connecting body to rotate through α°. The directions in which the first wrist axis, the second wrist axis and the third wrist axis extend are each parallel to a certain plane, and a distance from the first wrist axis to the second wrist axis and a distance from the second wrist axis to the third wrist axis are equal.
