Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a writing implement that is capable of maintaining stable writing performance for a long period, and provides a good writing feeling and handwriting. [Solution] This writing implement is provided with: a nib holding member; a nib attached to one end of the nib holding member; and an ink tank detachably attached to the other end of the nib holding member. A carbonaceous film is formed on at least one of a ball surface and the area of a ball retaining section that comes into contact with the ball, and the carbonaceous film has carbon atoms and oxygen atoms that are bonded to the carbon atoms.
