Abstract:

A writing implement (1) is provided with: a writing implement body which has a pen point (3) provided at the front end of a shaft cylinder (2); and an ink cartridge (6) which is connected to the rear end side of the writing implement body. The ink cartridge (6) includes: a closed-end circular cylindrical container (7) which has an open front end and a closed rear end; and a plug body (8) which is fitted to the inner peripheral surface of the opening (72) of the container (7). The writing implement body includes: a protrusion (53) which is inserted into the opening (72) and presses the plug body (8) rearward, thereby opening the ink cartridge (6); and an airtight connection section (52) which is formed separately from the protrusion (53) and which surrounds the protrusion (53). When the airtight connection section (52) and the opening (72) are airtightly fitted to each other, the opening (72) is divided into multiple sections. As a result, flow passages extending in the front-rear direction are formed in the outer periphery of the protrusion (53). At least one of the flow passages serves as an ink flow passage, and at least one of the remaining flow passages serves as an air introduction passage.
