Title:
W.W. GENERATOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/098233
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A wind or water driven generator built as a double helex around a vertical drive shaft that traps and maximizes any current it is exposed to. This device can be built to any size or width as a single unit or clustered within a framework which makes it suitable for land or offshore installation.

Description:
WIND GENERATOR This invention relates to a wind or water driven generator. The concept is intended to produce electrical energy more efficently and cheaply than existing designs. The device would comprise of a series of hollow vanes that would be built as a double helex that responds to any current from any direction and as such does not require a directional device to assure it is presented correctly to the current. It can built to any size or width required. Ideally suitable for offshore construction any number of those devices can be housed in a single structure takeing advantage of both wind and sea currents. Regardless of the currents direction, driven vanes are always presented to it. The invention will now be described solely by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows linked opposed vanes that allows each individual vane to be deployed at thirty degrees and joined as in figure 2. Figure 2 shows the completed structure, not drawn to scale as no scale can be applied to this device except that which is required.
