Abstract:
This X-ray generator comprises an X-ray tube, a drive circuit for driving the X-rays, a voltage generation circuit for generating an electron acceleration voltage to be applied to the X-ray tube, and a control unit communicating with the drive circuit. At least the X-ray tube, the drive circuit, and the voltage generation circuit are disposed in a housing container filled with an insulation oil. At least a portion of the path connecting the drive circuit to the control unit is configured from an optical fiber cable disposed in the housing container. The optical fiber cable has an electric field mitigation means for suppressing local focusing of an electric field generated along the length direction of the optical fiber cable by the potential difference between the drive circuit and the control unit.
