Abstract:
Disclosed is an X-ray generator allowing a high-brightness X-ray to be obtained through a simple configuration.
This X-ray generator (100) comprises: a chamber (11); a disc-shaped rotating body (21) disposed inside the chamber (11); a starting material storage tank (23) for storing a target starting material (22) in liquid form for X-ray generation; and a starting material supply mechanism for coating the target starting material (22) onto at least a portion of the rotating body (21) surface. In addition, this X-ray generator (100) comprises: an energy beam inlet window portion (31) disposed at an opening of the chamber (11), and transmitting and letting-in from the exterior of the chamber (11) to the interior of the chamber (11) an energy beam Eb to be irradiated onto the target starting material (22) on the rotating body (21) surface; and an X-ray outlet window portion (41) disposed at the opening of the chamber (11), and transmitting and letting-out to the exterior of the chamber (11) the X-rays generated by the irradiation of the energy beam Eb onto the target starting material (22).
