Abstract:
A cathode (102a) of this X-ray tube is configured to be provided with: a filament (402) that emits electrons when heated with Joule heat generated by energization; and a convergent body (401a) that converges the electrons emitted from the filament (402) so as to form an electron beam toward an anode. The convergent body (401a) is formed from ceramics having a volume resistivity of 1010-1012 Ωcm.
