Provided is a yellow toner which has further increased color developability and color saturation, while having further improved light resistance. A yellow toner which contains at least a binder resin, a wax and a coloring agent, and wherein a compound represented by general formula (1) is contained as the coloring agent. (In general formula (1), each of R1 and R2 independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group; R3 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxy group or a hydroxy group; each of R4 and R5 independently represents a hydrogen atom or an amino group; each of X1-X3 independently represents a carbon atom or a nitrogen atom; each of A1 and A2 independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryl group, a carbamoyl group, a carboxylic acid ester group, a carboxylic acid amide group, a sulfonic acid ester group, a sulfonic acid amide group, a trifluoromethyl group, a cyano group, a hydroxy group, a nitro group, an amino group or a halogen atom; and n represents an integer of 1-5.)
