Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a zeolite that has excellent NOx purification performance and particularly excellent NOx purification performance in a high temperature range of an exhaust gas. This zeolite has a CHA structure. When the sum of the integrated intensity of the (211) plane, the (104) plane, and the (220) plane in an X-ray diffraction spectrum obtained by powder X-ray diffractometry is denoted by X0 and the sum of the integrated intensity after a heat endurance test for five hours at 900 °C in an air atmosphere is denoted by X1, X1 to X0 (X1/X0) is 0.2-0.7. When the peak intensity of 4-coordinated Al atoms as measured by the 27Al-NMR method after a heat endurance test for five hours at 900 °C in an air atmosphere is denoted by P4 and the peak intensity of 6-coordinated Al atoms is denoted by P6, P6 to P4 (P6/P4) is 0.1 or less.
