Abstract:
[Problem] To provide hexagonal plate-shaped zinc oxide particles in which the shielding rate for ultraviolet rays having a wave length of equal to or less than 400nm is increased and the shielding rates for UV-B waves and UV-A waves are significantly increased, without the loss of the direct transition nature of the zinc oxide electron excitation. [Solution] Zinc oxide particles that are characterized by a hexagonal-plate shape and the at least partial inclusion of a solid solution comprising: Zn; and Ti and/or Fe.
