Title:
ZINC SECONDARY CELL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/118561
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a zinc secondary cell with which it is possible to prevent the short-circuiting between the positive and negative electrodes that is caused by zinc dendrites. The zinc secondary cell of the invention comprises a negative electrode that contains zinc; an electrolyte formed from an aqueous solution of an alkali metal hydroxide, which comes into contact with or in which are immersed the positive electrode and negative electrode; and a separator formed from a hydroxide ion-conducting inorganic solid electrolyte, which is disposed between the positive electrode and negative electrode in order to separate the positive electrode and negative electrode.
