Abstract:
Disclosed is a zipper tape comprising male elements and female elements that interlock. Each male element has a head, a protrusion at the tip of the head, and concavities at the points where the head and the tip thereof meet. Each female element has first and second claw parts that face each other, a pocket between the first and second claw parts, and a pair of prongs at the top of the pocket. When a male element and a female element interlock, at least part of the inner surfaces of the first and second claw parts on the female element make surface contact with at least part of the surface of the head on the male element; the pocket in the female element receives the protrusion on the male element; and the prongs on the female element engage with the concavities in the male element.
