Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a zone controller capable of facilitating the identification of locations where faults occur when a fault has occurred in a conveyor device for performing decentralized control; and a conveyor device. A zone controller (10) used in a conveyor device (1) in which a plurality of zone conveyors (2) are lined up in serial fashion, and used for governing one or a plurality of zone conveyors (2) to control the operation thereof, the zone controller (10), which is capable of receiving signals from another zone controller (10) and sending signals to the exterior, having: a signal creation function for creating a predetermined abnormality notification signal and sending the signal to the exterior in the case that an abnormality has occurred in a zone governed by the selfsame zone controller (10); a signal receiving function for receiving an abnormality notification signal from another zone controller (10); a signal-modifying function for adding a fixed modification to the abnormality notification signal thus received; and a modified-signal sending function for sending to the exterior the signal modified by the signal-modifying function as the abnormality notification signal.
