Abstract:
Provided are a miniaturized, thin, wide-angle high-magnification zoom lens and an image capture device wherein the zoom lens is installed, with which it is possible to compensate for camera shake and desirable optical performance is maintained. If the value of the conditional expression (1) falls below a lower bound, the degree of lens shift necessary to shift an image by a prescribed degree becomes too small, high precision in control of a drive device is demanded, and an image capture device becomes an expensive luxury. Conversely, if the value of the conditional expression (1) exceeds an upper bound, the degree of lens shift necessary to shift an image by a prescribed amount becomes too large, and the direction of the shift will be the same as the direction of the axis of incident light. As a result, the increase in degree of shift will interfere with reducing the weight of the device. Accordingly, the range of the conditional expression (1) should be satisfied: 0.2 < fs/ft < 0.9, where fs is the focal length in mm of a shift lens which is the second lens from the object side of the fifth lens group, and ft is the focal length in mm of the telescopic end of the total assembly.
