Abstract:
Provided are a zoom lens which achieves a 30x zoom ratio while being made compact and in which various types of aberration are excellently corrected and an imaging device using the same. The zoom lens has five lens groups. During zooming, each lens group of a first lens group through a fourth lens group moves, and a fifth lens group does not move during zooming or focusing. The following conditional expressions are satisfied. 1.90 < (β2T/β2W) / (β3T/β3W) < 3.40 (1) 3.00 < f3/fw < 4.50 (2) Here, β2W is lateral magnification at the wide angle end of the second lens group; β2T is the lateral magnification at the telephoto end of the second lens group; β3W is the lateral magnification at the wide angle end of the third lens group; β3T is the lateral magnification at the telephoto end of the third lens group; f3 is the focal length (mm) for the third lens group; and fw is the focal length (mm) of the entire system at the wide angle end.
