Abstract:
Provided are: a zoom lens having a small size, a wide image angle, and a high performance; and an imaging device provided with the zoom lens. The zoom lens is provided with a positive first lens group, a negative second lens group, a positive third lens group, and a positive fourth lens group, in sequence from the object side. During magnification, the first lens group and the fourth lens group do not move, and the second lens group and the third lens group move. The first lens group comprises, in sequence from the object side, a negative first A sub-lens group which does not move during focusing, a positive first B sub-lens group which moves during focusing, and a positive first C sub-lens group which do not move during focusing. The conditional expression -1.47 < f1A/f1 < -1.08, relating to the focal distance f1A of the first A sub-lens group and the focal distance f1 of the first lens group, is satisfied.
