Abstract:
A zoom lens having a first lens group (G1) having a positive refractive power, a second lens group (G2) having a negative refractive power, a third lens group (G3) having a positive refractive power, a fourth lens group (G4) having a negative refractive power, and a fifth lens group (G5) having a positive refractive power, with these lens groups being arranged along the light axis in this order from the object side, and with the interval between each lens group changing when the magnification is changed. The first lens group (G1) is configured from two lenses. When the thickness of the first lens group (G1) on the optical axis is D1 and the focal distance of the zoom lens (ZL) in the wide-angle state is fw, the conditional equation (1) is satisfied. (1) 0.07 < D1/fw < 0.46
