Abstract:
A zoom lens system is provided with: a positively powered first lens group which comprises three or more lens elements; a negatively powered second lens group; a positively powered third lens group; a negatively powered fourth lens group; and a positively powered fifth lens group. In zooming from the wide-angle end to the telephoto end during image capturing, at least the first lens group, the second lens group, and the third lens group move relative to the image surface, and the zoom lens system satisfies the conditions of 3.2 < LG3/(fT × tan(ωT)) and 2.0 < |MG1/(fT × tan(ωT))| < 15.0, where LG3 is the thickness of the third lens group on the optical axis, fT is the focal length of the entire system at the telephoto end, ωT is the half-image angle at the telephoto end, and MG1 is the amount of movement of the first lens group in the optical axis direction during zooming.
