Disclosed are a camera, an imaging device and a zoom lens system provided with, from the object side to the image side, a first positive power lens group, a second negative power lens group, a third positive power lens group, and a following lens group, and wherein magnification is varied when zooming by moving the first to third lens groups along the optical axis, one part of the third lens group is a lens group (3b) which moves in the direction perpendicular with respect to the optical axis, and which satisfies the conditions: 1.5<(D2+D3b+DB)/Ir<2.4 and BF/Ir<1.45 (Z=fT/fW>9.0, D2, D3b: the thickness of the second lens group and lens group 3b at the optical axes, DB: the sum total of the thickness of each following lens group at the optical axis, BF: the minimum length, in terms of air, at the optical axis between the top of the most image-side lens surface and the image surface, Ir=fT x tanωＴ, fT, fW: focal lengths of all the systems at the telephoto and wide-angle ends, ωＴ: half angle view at the telephoto end.) The camera, imaging device and zoom lens system have high resolution, a high zoom ratio, blur correction functionality, and enable device thickness reduction when the trunk is collapsed.
