Abstract:
A zoom lens system composed of lens groups at least having a front lens group with negative
power and a rear lens group with positive power, the rear lens group being placed
nearer to the image side than the front lens group and having lens elements. The
magnification of the zoom lens system is varied by varying the distance between the
lens groups. The rear lens group has a rear A lens group movable in the direction normal
to an optical axis and also has a rear B lens group provided nearer to the image side
than the rear A lens group and movable in the direction of the optical axis so as
to vary the distance between the lens B group and the lens A group, in the direction
of the optical axis. The zoom lens system has high performance, is compact, light
in weight, and low in costs, and has highly effective shaking correction function.
