Abstract:
Disclosed is a compact, light-weight zoom lens system which can be used optimally in an interchangeable lens-type digital camera system and has excellent image resolution. The disclosed zoom lens system has, in order from the object side to the image side, a first lens group having positive power, a second lens group having negative power, a third lens group having negative power, and a fourth lens group having positive power and containing at least one resin lens, and an aperture block disposed in the fourth lens group. When zooming from the wide angle end to the telephoto end, the interval between the third lens group and the fourth lens group decreases monotonically. Further, condition 1: 1.0 < T4/fw < 3.5 is fulfilled (T4: thickness in the optical axis direction of the fourth lens group, fw: focal distance of the whole system at the wide angle end).
