Abstract:
A zoom lens system (ZL) mounted in an electronic still camera (1) comprises a first lens group (G1) having a negative refractive power and also comprises a second lens group (G2) having a positive refractive power, with the first and second lens groups arranged in that order from the object side. The second lens group (G2) has at least two cemented lenses each having a positive lens on the object side and a negative lens on the image side. Because the distance between the first lens group and the second lens group changes when the magnification is changed from a wide angle end state to a telescope end state, the zoom lens system has excellent optical performance. An optical device equipped with the zoom lens system and a magnification changing method using a zoom lens system are also provided.
