Abstract:
A small-sized zoom lens suitable for use where a place for installing a zoom lens
is limited and having a magnification ratio of about 4.5 or above and excellent
image forming performance. The zoom lens consists of, in order from the object
side along the optical axis, a first lens group G1 having positive refractive
power and equipped with an optical element for bending an optical path, a second
lens group G2 having negative refractive power, a third lens group G3 having positive
refractive power, a fourth lens group G4 having positive refractive power, and
a fifth lens group G5 having positive refractive power. When the focal length
varies from a wide angle end state W to a tele end state T, the first lens group G1
and the third lens group G3 are fixed against an image plane and the second lens
group G2, the fourth lens group G4, and the fifth lens group G5 move individually.
