Abstract:

A zoom lens (10A) comprises: a first lens unit (12) constituted by either SLM or VFL; a second lens unit (14) optically connected between the first lens unit and a focal plane (F) and constituted by either SLM or VFL; and a control unit (16) which controls the focal distances of the first and second lens units (12, 14). The distance between the first lens unit (12) and the second lens unit (14), and the distance between the second lens unit (14) and the focal plane (F) remain unchanged. The control unit (16) changes the magnification of a zoom lens (10A) by changing the focal distances of the first and second lens units (12, 14). Thereby, a zoom lens is achieved, which can be simply configured and which is capable of shortening the required time for changing magnification.
