Title:
device and method for generating Piston outline machining data and computer-readable recoding medium ON WHICH machining data generation program IS RECORDED
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/008262
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In a device for generating piston outline data for NC machining, non-circular part shape data and other condition data (other condition data required to cut the whole of the outline of a piston such as cutting condition data and shape data other than that on non-circular part) are recorded on a machining data sheet (a sheet used by spreadsheet software). In step S4, an NC data creation program reads a machining data sheet. In step S5, the program retects “start cell” and “end cell”, which are instruction words described on the machining data sheet, and obtains matrix data stored in the cell area specified by the contents of the cells that following the start cell and end cell. In step S6, the program obtains condition data other than non-circular part shape data recorded on the same marching data sheet and, by using the condition data and the non-circular part shape data, calculates NC machining data to be supplied to the NC machining device. This saves labor needed to manage non-circular part shape data and other condition data individually and allows related data to be inputted at a time.
