Abstract:
A self-locking manual tightening drill chuck includes a chuck body, three pawls, an
axially located rotating sleeve and a nut. The pawls mesh with the nut via threads. A
front annular body is provided in front of the nut, which surrounds the chuck body
and can not rotate relative to the chuck body. The back end face of the front annular
body is provided with tooth sockets. The rotating sleeve is provided with an intermediate
ring that can rotate with the rotating sleeve and slide fore and aft. Said intermediate
ring is provided between the nut and the front annular body. The intermediate
ring has a locking element that cooperates with the tooth sockets of the front
annular body. The front end face of the nut is provided with the configurations
that control the disengagement of the locking element of the intermediate ring
and the tooth sockets of the front annular body, the configurations that control
the engagement of the locking element of the intermediate ring and the tooth sockets
of the front annular body and the transition faces between these configurations.
The drill chuck has an elastic element that pushes the intermediate rin towards
the nut.
