Abstract:
The source (1) generates a high-energy laser beam with a high power density. The source contains several directly modulatable, diode-pumped fibre lasers (2) whose outputs are arranged adjacent to each other in several tracks on a processing surface (81). The laser beams emanating from the outputs of the fibre lasers are combined so that they are incident adjacent to each other in several tracks on a processing surface. Independent claims are also included for a material processing arrangement and a method of operating the arrangement.
