Abstract:
To provide a molten metal holding furnace for die casting where the temperature of a molten metal in a molten metal holding chamber and the temperature of a molten metal in a molten metal pumping-out chamber are controlled to almost the same temperature, the temperature of the molten metal in the molten metal pumping-out chamber is stable, swift coping is possible to the temperature fluctuation of the molten metal in the molten metal pumping-out chamber, further, the heating efficiency of an immersion heater is improved, and energy saving is attained.SOLUTION: Provided is a molten metal holding furnace 1 for die casting including: a molten metal receiving chamber 2 provided with a molten metal receiving opening 2a; a molten metal holding chamber 3 with a heater 14 arranged; and a molten metal pumping-out chamber 4 provided with a molten metal pumping-out opening 4a, in which an immersion heater 17 is arranged at the molten metal pumping-out chamber 4, and the output of the immersion heater 17 is controlled based on the temperature of the molten metal in the molten metal pumping-out chamber 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
