Abstract:
To detect collision of PUF values.SOLUTION: A device 10 under test includes a generation circuit 11 and a processing unit 12. The generation circuit 11 generates a hardware-dependent value. In response to a first request, the processing unit 12 generates and outputs coding result data using a value generated by the generation circuit 11 and an error correction encoding method. In response to a second request, the processing unit 12 generates and outputs decoding result data by using a designated encoding result data, the value generated by the generation circuit 11, and the error correction decoding method. An inspection apparatus 20 includes a storage unit 21 and a processing unit 22. The storage unit 21 stores coding result data 23 and verification data 24 generated by a device 10a under test. The processing unit 22 designates the coding result data 23 and receives a decoding result data 25 from the device 10 under test. The processing unit 22 compares the decoding result data 25 with the verification data 24 and determines whether they match.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
