Abstract:
To provide a regenerative repeater that reduces a C/N deterioration on an uplink, more preferably, reduces the number of uplink stations for satellite broadcasting in a 12 GHz band, and maximizes utilization of an input/output bandwidth for satellite broadcasting in a 21 GHz band.SOLUTION: A regenerative repeater 1 for satellite broadcasting according to the present invention includes demodulators (DeMOD) 12 and 13 for receiving and demodulating an uplink signal of an N channel (N is an integer equal to or larger than 1) composed of a wideband modulated wave signal of a predetermined band or more, generating a bit string subjected to error correction, and dividing the bit string into M channels (M is an integer of 2 or more) larger than the N channels, remodulators (ReMOD) 14-1, ..., and 14-24 for remodulating the bit string on the basis of a predetermined encoding/modulation scheme, and transmitting means (power amplifier (TWTA) and an output filter (O-FIL)) for generating a satellite broadcasting signal on the basis of the remodulated signal and transmitting the signal as a broadcast wave of the downlink signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
