Abstract:
To provide a wave gear device capable of increasing simultaneously meshing tooth number of external gear tooth and internal gear tooth and enlarging transmissible torque value.SOLUTION: A wave gear device 1 includes an external gear 3 which is elastically deformed into an elliptic shape by a wave generator 2 and an internal gear 4 engaged with the external gear 3 on a position near to a major axis of the external gear 3. An addendum side tooth face shape of the external gear 3 is constituted with a tooth shape basic curve and an addendum side circular arc. A dedendum side tooth face shape of the external tooth 3 is constituted with a tangent of the tooth shape basic curve at an intersection of the tooth shape basic curve and the addendum side circular arcuate. A tooth face shape of the internal gear 4 is constituted with the tooth shape basic curve, the addendum side circular arcuate and the tooth bottom side circular arcuate. The tooth shape basic curve is a shape provided by contracting a relative motion locus curve drawn by relative motion, in a normal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
