Abstract:
To provide a technology of suppressing an enlargement of a driving device for vehicle due to an arrangement of an inverter unit.SOLUTION: A driving device for vehicle 100 has a rotary electric machine 2 which becomes a driving power source of a plurality of wheels, a speed reducer 3 reducing rotation transmitted from a side of the rotary electric machine 2 to a side of the wheels, a differential gear device 4 distributing driving power from the rotary electric machine 2 to the wheels respectively, and an inverter unit 7 controlling the rotary electric machine 2. The speed reducer 3 and the differential gear device 4 are arranged coaxially with the rotary electric machine 2, each of external diameters of the speed reducer 3 and the differential gear device 4 is smaller than that of the rotary electric machine 2, and the inverter unit 7 is arranged on a position where the inverter unit is overlapped with at least one of the speed reducer 3 and the differential gear device 4 when viewed in a radial direction R and is overlapped with the rotary electric machine 2 when viewed in an axial direction L.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
