Abstract:
To provide a technique by which a center of an optical disk can be acquired with good accuracy.SOLUTION: A recording device comprises: conveying means that conveys an optical disk D held by holding means 12 in a conveyance direction; recording means that performs recording on a printing surface of the optical disk D; detecting means that irradiates light to the holding means 12 and the optical disk D and receives reflected light to detect variation of amounts of received light; and moving means that moves the detecting means in a scanning direction crossing the conveyance direction, which further has control means that controls the moving means and the conveying means so that the detecting means passes through a hole part DH formed at a center of the optical disk D and acquires a position of the center of the hole part DH as a position of the center of the optical disk D on the basis of the hole part DH detected by the detecting means, and setting means that sets a recording position of the optical disk D on the basis of the position of the center of the optical disk D.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
