Abstract:
To provide a scanning unit of a position measuring device to enable accurate position measurement in addition to being compactly configured.SOLUTION: A scanning unit of a position measuring device has a housing 21. The housing 21 is provided with a detection unit for scanning a scale 1. The housing 21 includes a main body part 22, and a cover 23 fixed to the main body part 22. The main body part 22 includes a plurality of holes for screwing the scanning unit 2 on an object to be measured. In the scanning unit 2, the main body part 22 is formed with a plurality of support posts. The support post is provided with one of holes, respectively, and the support post is provided with one of outer contours, respectively. The outer contour corresponds to the inner contour of a perforated part in the cover 23 so as to form a press fitting for fixing the cover 23 to the main body part 22 on the outer contour and the inner contour.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
