Abstract:
To provide a disc brake which is adapted to mass production by simplifying an assembling process.SOLUTION: A piston propulsion mechanism 37 employed to a disc brake 1 comprises a nut member 77 having a stopper protrusion 160 protrusively formed from one end part in an axial direction, and a shaft member 75 arranged inside the nut member 77, and transmitted with a rotation motion from an electric motor 35. An engagement recess 15 with which the stopper protrusion 160 of the nut member 77 is engaged at a bottom face is formed at a cylinder 10 of a caliper main body 6. By this constitution, the nut member 77 is relatively non-rotatably supported to a cylinder part 7. As a result, a pin member which has been necessary hitherto is dispensed with, and a pressure-insertion process for pressure-inserting the pin member into the bottom face of the cylinder is also dispensed with. Therefore, the number of part items can be reduced, an assembling process can be simplified, and the disc brake can be adapted to mass production.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
