To provide a mechanical parking device capable of setting loading possible number of vehicles with respective vehicle heights more finely.SOLUTION: A mechanical parking device 10 comprises: a loading and unloading floor E for a vehicle 1 to be loaded and unloaded; a plurality of storage floors B1, B2, B3 provided in each of a plurality of regions R1, R2 which are sifted in a horizontal direction from each other; an ascending and descending passage 2 adjacent to each of the regions R1, R2; and a lift 3 on which the vehicle 1 is mounted and which can ascend and descend the ascending and descending passage 2 between the loading and unloading floor E and each of the storage floors B1, B2, B3 of each of the regions R1, R2. Each of the storage floors B1, B2, B3 includes a storage space S which can store the vehicle with a vehicle height equal to or lower than a limit height. The lift 3 can transport the vehicle between it and the storage space S in each of the storage floors B1, B2, B3 of each of the regions R1, R2. A limit height in the storage space S of either storage floor B1, B2, B3 in one region R1 is different from that in the storage space S of either storage floor B1, B2, B3 in another region R2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
