Abstract:
To provide an industrial material canvas which is further excellent in tear strengh especially while using as the ground fabric, a fabric of a mass equivalent to that of a conventional one, and can express tear strengh equivalent to that of a conventional one while using as the ground fabric, a fabric having a lighter weight than a conventional one.SOLUTION: A canvas has a non-perforated fabric as the ground fabric, and is disposed with a thermoplastic resin-impregnated coating layer on the whole area of the fabric. The non-perforated fabric, which includes juxtaposed yarns comprising two staple spun yarns in a weave structure, is either 1) a plain woven fabric including a part where the juxtaposed yarns are included in a warp yarn and a weft yarn, and the interlacing points of the warp yarn and the weft yarn are composed of at least four staple spun yarns, or 2) a plain woven fabric including a part where the juxtaposed yarns are included in a warp yarn or a weft yarn, and the interlacing points of the warp yarn and the weft yarn are composed of at least three staple spun yarns.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
