Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate operations, to simplify the management of the number of impression, and to validate service provided by a server without a stop by performing the switching of the new impression number with a processor module unit. CONSTITUTION:Active space and standby space are assigned on first and second different processor modules PM1 and PM2. In the case of switching the old impression number to the new impression number, the first processor module PM1 is stopped and the processing of the active space is succeeded by the standby space of the second processor module PM2. On the first processor module PM1, the server type program of the new impression number is started as the standby space, and the server type program of the new impression number is switched from the standby space to the active space by the first processor module PM1. The impression number of the server type program is switched by taking the measurement processor modules PM1 and PM2 as a unit. Thus, the operational efficiency at the time of the active maintenance of the system program can be improved, and the management of the impression number can be simplified.
