Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the optical information recording medium which can execute recording to obtain good reproduced signals even in the recordable region at the boundary between a reproduction-only region and the recordable region, can provide the reproduction-only region in an arbitrary position and allows the continuous reproduction from the reproduction-only region to the recordable region. CONSTITUTION:The width dps of pits 10 of the reproduction-only region 2 is set at dps>=130mum by noticing that the reproduction-only region can be easily identified from the recordable part 16 by the pregrooves 14 of the recordable region 3 if the reproduction-only region is formed at the width deeper than heretofore. The width of the pregrooves 14, when designated as dgs, is set at dps/dgs>=1.5. Namely, the width dgs of the pregrooves 14 is formed shallower than the width dps of the pits 10.
