Abstract:
PURPOSE:To uniformize the load by switching part of a logical unit number of an SCSI(Small Computer System Interface) between connection units of an access unit and a gateway unit to a device identifier of other connection unit. CONSTITUTION:The quantity of transfer information by each connection unit is monitored by an access unit AU or a system network managing device NS during the system operation and when it is discriminated that each transfer information quantity is unbalanced between the connection units, part of the logical unit number LUN corresponding to an address of a local area network LAN in the access unit AU assigned to the connection unit having much information quantity is revised into a device identifier of the connection unit with less information quantity. Thus, if there is a connection unit having a biased data flow, the device identifier corresponding to a part of the logical unit number corresponding to the LAN address being an object of changeover registered in the access unit AU is revised to that of a smaller load from that of a larger load thereby uniformizing the load.
