Process for the preparation of compounds of formula
in which X denotes hydrogen, a halogen, a trifluoromethyl group or a lower alkyl group; W denotes methyl, Q denotes hydrogen or W and Q together form an ethylene group and R' denotes a lower alkyl group, characterised in that the amino group of the phenol corresponding to the compound of formula I is protected, the compound thus obtained is subjected to an alkylation with a compound of formula Hal-CH2-COOR', where R' is as defined in the case of formula I and Hal is chlorine, bromine or iodine, and the amino group of the product thus obtained is then deblocked.
