Abstract:
PURPOSE:To judge whether clothes can be performed up to drying or not before the drying process and to improve feasibility by detecting an amount of the clothes before the drying process, stopping the shift of the clothes to the drying process when the amount exceeds a predetermined one and performing dehydration before a reversing device is driven. CONSTITUTION:A clothing amount detecting means 51 connected to a controller 50 utilizes the variation of a current value of a washing motor 23 according to the clothing amount to determine the clothing amount when said motor 23 drives a pulsator 19 in a washing process. An amount of clothes to be dried is about a half of that of clothes to be washed. When a predetermined or more amount of clothes is detected, the controller 50 controls only washing, rinsing and dehydrating processes. If processes up to drying one are desired, a portion of clothes is taken out for drying. When an amount of clothes to be washed is a predetermined or less amount, even the drying process following the washing, rinsing and dehydrating processes is performed. Also, when water may remain in a water tank 15 as in the case of only drying and the drying process is directly started, the hydrating operation is performed by the controller 50 before the reversal operation of a water tank 15.
