Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain the registration or retrieval of picture information by replaying mark information on a mark sheet sent from a facsimile equipment and applying registration or retrieval operation of picture information so as to use the facsimile equipment connected to an information file equipment. CONSTITUTION:In case of registering the picture information, a mark sheet MS and an original of picture information to be registered are sent from the facsimile equipment 20 to a communication line 21. When a communication control section 8 receives mark information and picture information, a system control section 9 sends the mark information to a mark information recognition section 5 and a mark information conversion section 6. The mark information recognition section 5 brings the system control section 9 into the registration state in response to the mode information in the mark information and a recording reproduction section 3 stores it in an information file 2. Moreover, the mark information is converted into a corresponding file name and key word name by the mark information conversion section 6 and stored in a retrieval file 4 together with the storage address of the picture information.
