Abstract:
PURPOSE:To execute a packing design in a short time and at a low cost by deriving external dimensions and a centroid position from an object to be packed by using a TV camera, and also, detecting weight and determining and outputting a shape and the material of a buffer material for packing. CONSTITUTION:An object to be packed on a rotary fitting table 12 is photographed by TV cameras 17-19, external dimensions of the object to be packed are calculated, and also, the centroid is derived from external form data, etc. Moreover, by a signal from a weight sensor, weight of the object to be packed is calculated. Subsequently, the data of the derived shape, dimensional, centroid, weight, etc., is collated with the data of a packing material reference table 120 in which reference data for selecting a packing material is registered in advance, and a material and the shape of a packing case, and a material and the shape of a buffer material are calculated. Design data calculated in such a way is outputted by a printer 119. On the other hand, as for a monitor display 16, an image used as the monitor of a processing image of monitoring and adjustment of an image pickup state of the TV cameras 17-19, line thinning, etc., is inputted after being subjected to D/A.
